Our journey to the breathtaking mountains of the Carolina’s began over a decade ago, and it is a dream come true. It was time to get away from the cold and fast pace of the Mid-West and create our year round Timber Frame home. We live in RiverDance full-time and are looking forward to having you as our guest. 1898 Waverly Inn is the oldest surviving inn in Hendersonville. This inn was built at one end of Hendersonville’s wide tree-lined streets when guests walked on boardwalks and oil lamps were at the street corners. We have been making guests feel comfortable since they arrived by train or stagecoach. But we have been quick to embrace modern conveniences! We’ve had electricity available since 1903 and telephone since 1904! Relax in the ambiance of the past with our southern rocking chair porches, in-town convenience, mountain flavor and first-class amenities at 1898 Waverly Inn.

Inn on Main Street near Asheville, North Carolina, was a romantic B&B with stellar reviews for almost 20 years. Breakfast is no longer offered now, but three units surrounding the historic house have become luxury vacation rentals. Guests are only a short walk from Weaverville’s Allgood Coffee, restaurants, breweries and galleries, and a few minutes by car from Asheville and the Biltmore Estate.

Two of our rental units are neighboring but unconnected rooms in an annex to the historic home, each with a queen bed, gas fireplace, whirlpool tub, window AC and private entrance. Each is equipped with mini fridge, microwave and Keurig coffeemaker. The other unit is a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment with full kitchen and a private deck with views of the Craggy Mountains and other peaks of the Blue Ridge. Beds can be set up as a king or two twins in one bedroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed. An air bed is available for a fifth person.

Taylor House Inn  Our Bed and Breakfast is an historic farm house, built in 1911. You enter another time and place when you stay with us: it evokes memories of a more carefree time where days slowed down a bit and the mind relaxed; a huge wraparound porch beckons as just the spot for reading a good book or having a nice coffee or a cup of tea. We are a small, family-run Bed & Breakfast-style Rustic Mountain Retreat, designed in the spirit of the Great Lodges of older times and ancient places, nestled deep in the mountains of Southern Appalachia along the North Carolina/ Tennessee border. The name Kana’ti is in honor of the first chief of the first people: The Cherokee and earlier Woodland tribes who, according to archaeological evidence, used this area for thousands of years as a hunting ground for Mammoth, Bison, Elk and Deer migrating up and down the Bald Mountain Ranges as the ice caps retreated northward. The lodge itself is constructed of mostly local materials, many of which were reclaimed from old cabins and barns around the Southern Appalachian region. Every part of the building tells a story – the passing age of tobacco in barn poles and hand-rived stakes, restored windows and doors from a local school, and flooring and siding harvested from our own land.

The Red Bridge Lodge is a newly renovated 113 year old rock home located on Spring Creek in downtown Hot Springs. The home is full of history and charm featuring outstanding craftsmanship and attention to detail. From the cherry living room to the brand new custom kitchen and baths, the home is an exquisite blend of old and new.

The home is approximately 3200 SF, has 4 BR’s, 3 full baths and is perfect for larger groups, multiple families, reunions, girls weekends, etc. The knotty pine master BR is huge and features a king size bed, a twin bed and a queen sized futon, if needed. The second upper level BR is maple and has a queen size sleigh bed and a twin bed. The third upper level bedroom is the “Robin’s Nest” and features two twin beds. The fourth BR is on the main level and features another king size bed and maple walls and ceiling as well. The 3 full baths are newly renovated and features octagonal floor tile and subway tile showers.

The cherry living room has a large sectional sofa, 55″ flat screen TV and leather reading chairs. The sunroom features an exposed rock wall, another flat screen TV, sofa, reading chairs and great views of the back yard and patio. The custom kitchen and dining room feature 20 foot vaulted ceilings with skylights, exposed beams, exposed rock wall, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and a huge farm table made from recycled barn wood. There is also a laundry/mud room for your convenience. There is a large rear rock patio with seating for 10 and a large charcoal BBQ. The side covered porch has a porch swing, two gliders, mountain views and is perfect for getting some shade on a hot day. The backyard is the jewel of the property and has several Adirondack chairs, a fire pit and access to the refreshing swimming and/or fishing hole! The property is also adjacent to The Old Red Bridge, which was built in 1910.
